The range of services includes outpatients and in-patients diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors and lymphomas in adults. We especially concentrate on other tumors of digestive tract, and on lung, head and throat tumors, gynecological tumors (breast cancer and others), urological tumors and sarcomas.
The high medical expertise of the Center is essentially due to long clinical experience of tumor therapy and continuous collaboration with renowned medical service teams in national and international working groups.
Also, participation of the Center in national and international therapy studies make it possible for us to supply innovative treatment methods.
Repeated weekly interdisciplinary tumor conferences and interdisciplinarity in everything, along with collaboration of all departments of the Essen-Mitte Clinic, together guarantee early planning of suitable treatment and fast assistance in complications of every kind.
The situation of the individual patient is all-important to us. To this end, providing care are 22 medical staff members (including eight doctors specializing in oncology/hematology) palliative physicians, a patient-orientated nursing team, psycho-oncologists and social workers.
